Beautiful Banners

It is no secret that BANNERS are one of my favourite embellishments as they are so much fun to use; however, the thing I love most about them is their versatility; you can make them as simple or as elaborate as you wish- there is NO limit to your creativity! The manner in wish you position them on your page can vary too- straight, swooping across the page, clustered or as a border, connected with thread, twine, ribbon, stitching or brads. You can paint or ink them, embellish them with co-ordinating paper, brads, pen, pearls, rhinestones, glitter, bows, buttons, cut-out shapes such as hearts, stars, butterflies, cogs or even aphabet letters for a page title. Varying the shape is fun too- triangles, pennants, hearts, small tags or a combination of them. A2zscraplets have a selection of three at present; however, Julie has created some awesome new ones to be released soon!!!

Christmas Challenge Layout.

Sharing a layout using Webster's Pages and a2zscraplets Santa 1 shape.
Remember it is not essential to include scraplets in your layout; however, it is now so easy to order direct online. There is a fantastic selection of Christmas words and shapes and I encourage you to visit the website- and view them- have a pen and paper handy as there is sure to be a shopping/wish list!

a2zscraplets January Challenge

Hi everyone and a very happy new year to you all. Well, it is time for our first challenge for 2013 and I am hoping you have heaps of Christmas photos you would like to scrapbook and beautiful Christmas papers that you are very keen to use! Maybe, like me, you have already started which is fantastic as it means you have your entry completed and ready to enter!

Visit the a2zscraplets website as they have the most amazing selection of titles and shapes to help you create beautiful layouts. I decided to scrapbook this special Christmas card that my youngest son made for his dad. The two enjoyed a memorable holiday to Alaska in July 2012 and this is a photo that Brendan took with our new camera...absolutely picture perfect and very suitable for a greeting card! Hubby's smile says it all!
I used Simple Stories paper and an a2zscraplet bauble.

I enjoy remembering Christmases when my sons were young so decided to scrapbook one for this is our eldest son, Shaun, in his Nursery school nativity play in 1992. Oh my, such a gorgeous shepherd!
